Thirteen Year Old Says He Wants To Run-Away from home. Then Tells A Cop To Look Inside His Room. [Video]

When 13-year-old Cameron Simmons made a 911 call to the Sumter Police Department, Officer Gaetano Acerra was the one who was dispatched to his home address. When Officer Acerra arrived, the boy was sitting on the front porch in tears because he wanted to run from home. But when he stepped inside the house, he never expected to find this…

13-year-old Cameron Simmons said that his mother had yelled at him for playing his older brother’s video games.

At first, the officer was taken back, but rather than leave he decided to join the boy inside his home. The young boy led the officer to his bedroom.

All it took was one look around the boy’s room to see it…Cameron’s room was completely empty with his belongings stored in trash bags. He didn’t even have a bed to sleep on. Officer Acerra then learned that Cameron’s mother was struggling financially after moving the family from Texas to South Carolina to care for a sick relative.

Officer Acerra knew he had to do something for the boy and his family. He decided to put together a surprise for the young boy by getting him an entirely new bedroom set and gathering other toys/items for the other children.

With the help of his brother, Acerra loaded up and dropped off a brand new desk, chair, television, bed and Wii game system for Cameron. He also gave Cameron’s brother a full bedroom and an air hockey table for them to play together.

Cameron was shocked to tears. His grateful mother was in complete disbelief. Please SHARE this story of friendship with your friends on Facebook.
